Water Filtration Methods

In order to combat the unintended effects of groundwater contamination and municipal water treatment and sanitation, many water filtration methods have been developed. Each of the following treatment methods are commonly used by households today to treat both well and municipal water at the Point-of-Use (POU). It is important to note that while many of these filtration methods work well in removing SOME contaminants from water, there are issues with each that should be understood.

Use the convenient links on the right hand side of this page to explore and learn about the most commonly used water filtration systems, and what problems each present as a complete home water filtration method.
